NWCare staff are invited to take part in a research study. Before you decide whether or not to take part it is important that you understand why the research is being done and what it will involve.
Please take the time to read the following information carefully and discuss it with others if you wish. Please ask us if there is anything that is not clear or if you would like more information.
What is the purpose of the study?
This information sheet provides details of a research study being carried out by Northern Health and Social Care Trust (NHSCT); Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT), Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT), South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust (SEHSCT) and Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT). The study design has also been informed by representatives from Ulster University, Queen’s University Belfast, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Nursing and Residential Care home sector. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of how the COVID-19 outbreak has affected the wellbeing of Health and Social Care staff. The survey will run on four occasions separated by 3 month intervals; this will allow us to track the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on staff over time. The survey last ran in November 2020 (Time 1) and those results are now available on the IMPACT Research Centre website. We would like to check in with our staff again to see how they are doing and what supports are hepful. All staff can take part, even if they did not take part at Time 1. You can participate by completing this HSCNI Covid-19 Staff Wellbeing Survey: Time 2.
